OFFICIAL RULES
Maine Niche welcomes visitors to participate in various Contests which will be provided by Maine Niche. In order to participate within our Contest, registration is required. Upon registering you will have the option to join our Contest and begin having fun in so doing! When participating, you will be directed to submit your information via email.
Contests will be sponsored by Maine Niche and/or participating Merchants. To enter, simply register and choose "Join Our Contest Today!" and follow the "how to" instructions provided.
Concerning Maine Niche Contests... unless otherwise stated, you are allowed one entry per contest. In regards to the Baby Charm Contest, you are permitted one entry per child. Best Pet Contest one entry per pet is allowed and "other" photo contests, one photo per category.
- NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
- Eligibility. Subject to the additional restrictions below, Contests provided by Maine Niche (the "Contest") is open to U.S. residents (excluding Puerto Rico) who are 18 years or older at the time of entry. Employees and the children and legal dependents of employees of the Sponsor(s) and immediate family members of, are not eligible to enter or to win. The term "immediate family members" include spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren.
- How to Enter. The Contests will generally run bi-monthly unless otherwise stated. To enter, go to Maine Niche.com and login. If you do not already have a free account with Maine Niche, you will need to register and create an account in order to participate in the Contest.
Submit your information (articles/essays) or photos according to the instructions provided. Please contact us if you have questions on "How to Enter".
Photos must include caption information that briefly describes what is contained in the photo. Please note who is in the picture, where the subject(s) are from and where the picture was taken. Digital images submitted should be no larger than 600 by 450 and no smaller than 450 by 338 pixels. Images must be submitted in JPG format. Digital images will not be returned.
Sponsor(s) will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late or misdirected entries or for failure to receive entries due to transmission or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network hardware or software, whether originating with sender or Sponsor(s).
All entries become property of Maine Niche. Contestants acknowledge and agree that Maine Niche shall have the right to publish selected photos solely within Maine Nich
without compensation to entrants other than the prizes offered to the selected winners.
Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted or the owner of an ISP account shall be determined by Maine Niche and Sponsor(s) in its' sole discretion, and Maine Niche and Sponsor(s) reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Contest. Maine Niche and Sponsor(s) further reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is alleged to infringe on any third-party's intellectual property rights, or that Maine Niche and Sponsor(s) deems obscene, offensive or otherwise inappropriate for viewing by a general audience.
- Winner Selection. Maine Niche and/or qualified individuals selected by Sponsor(s) will judge all eligible entries according to: When applicble by content (i.e., articles and essays), clarity and composition of photo, theme portrayal and personal impact of the image.
The finalists will be posted online within an appropriate page. Decisions of Maine Niche, selected qualified individuals and Sponsor(s) shall be final and binding in all respects.
- Prizes. Information to prizes will be listed within Contest page. Generally there will be a first, second and third place winner with prizes to be determined per Contest.
- Winner Notification. Winners will be notified on or about 14 days within ending date of said Contest. Failure to reach winner by phone or failure to respond to electronic mail may result in disqualification of winner, forfeiture of his or her interest in all prizes. Winners may waive their right to receive prizes. Prizes are non-assignable and non-transferable. No substitutions allowed by winner.
Prizes and individual components of prize packages are subject to availability and Sponsor(s) reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Winners are solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on prizes.
Except where prohibited, acceptance of any prize constitutes winner's consent to the publication of his or her name, biographical information and likeness solely within Maine Niche for any commercial or promotional purpose without limitation. Prizes not won and claimed by eligible winners in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of Maine Niche and/or Sponsor(s).
- Participation. By participating, contestants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Maine Niche and Sponsor(s). Maine Niche and Sponsor(s) reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Contest as solely determined by Sponsor(s). In the event the Contest is compromised by a virus, non-authorized human intervention, tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Maine Niche and Sponsor(s) which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Contest, Maine Niche and Sponsor(s) reserves the right in its' sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest. Should the Contest be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Maine Niche and Sponsor(s) reserves the right to award prizes based on the entries received before the termination date.
- Copyright. By entering the Contest, each contestant grants to Maine Niche an exclusive, royalty-free and irrevocable right and license to publishor otherwise use the contestant's submitted entry, in who or in part, solely for the use by and within Maine Niche.
- Sponsor(s). Maine Niche or Maine Niche Merchants may sponsor various Contests. The decisions of Maine Niche, Sponsor(s) and when applicable, the Contest qualified individuals regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the Contest shall be final and binding in all respects. Maine Niche and Sponsor(s) will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials relating to the Contest Winners will be posted in appropriate Contest page.
- Newsletter. Upon participating in Maine Niche Contest(s), you will automatically be subscribing to our Newsletter. You will have the option to unsubscribe to ensure you will not receive unwanted emails.
