About Our Oil Lamps
Our oil lamps come with a glass insert/wick holder and glass fiber wick. The glass fiber wick serves only to "wick" oil from the reservoir to the flame. It is not burned in the process and should last for the life of the oil lamp. We recommend burning only ultrapure parafin oil. With proper flame adjustment ultrapture oil produces a lovely, soft, smoke-less flame that will enhance the ambience of any area in your home.
The overall height of our long-stemed oil lamps can vary from 5 to 6½ inches. The overall height of our short-stemmed oil lamps can vary from 3½ to 4½ inches.
NOTE: Since this is handmade pottery, you should anticipate that exact color and dimensions will vary slightly from piece to piece depending on the precision of our hands and eyes and the conditions of a particular firing. Hence, the piece we ship to you will be similar, but not exactly like the one displayed here.
Caution: open flames can be a fire hazard. Take care to place your oil lamp on a stable, level surface away from other combustibles; never leave it burning unattended.
